Christian's contemporary & classical training versus his fluency with beats, electronica and technology, resulted in his services being called on as a programmer and producer for composers such as Patrick Doyle, Anne Dudley, Rupert and Harry Gregson Williams. These apprentiships soon led to Christian writing key scenes for films such as Spy Game, Dirty Pretty Things, Hotel Rwanda and Chronicles Of Narnia - The Lion Witch & The Wardrobe. Since then, he has gone on to be a much-in-demand composer in his own right.
Echoes of Christian's eclectic musical experience can still be found in both the orchestral and electronic aspects of his work enabling him to combine a career composing scores for both broad release US movies such as Chasing Liberty, alongside edgy independents like Nick Broomfield's, Biggie & Tupac, to major European releases such as Les Fils Du Vent (from which Christian earned a World Soundtrack Awards - Best Newcomer nomination).
2006 proved a bumper year for releases featuring CH's work including Peter Cattaneo's Opal Dream, Nick Hurran's It's A Boy Girl Thing, another outing with Julien Seri for Scorpion, and Christopher Smith's Severance. Of which the latter earned Christian a nomination in the "Best Original Score" category for the 2007 Ivor Novellos.
